The activity will continue in September 2015 and then from April to December 2016. It will be focused on the development of methodology, which will contain a general procedure for the assessment of social, environmental and production functions of the forest. This activity immediately follows the field works. The methodology will be drafted during the first field works and subsequently verified during the follow-up field works.
The methodology should result in a proposal for the categorization of forest functions, which will be based on a detailed analysis of natural conditions and on the actual use of forests by local communities. The methodology will be written in English and translated into Georgian. It will be printed and handed over to the members of target groups at workshops and conferences. The members of the target groups will be trained to be able to use the methodological procedure properly and to be able to analyse the forest functions.
